![]() ![]() There was so much to this novel that I loved, starting with the rich and imaginative worldbuilding. I completely adored Kaiisteron, and his ferocious love for the people in his life, and the care he takes to protect them. Martha Wells has this tremendous ability to write these incredibly relatable, lovable, inhuman characters and Witch King is no different. ![]() I want to start by saying I am a huge fan of The Murderbot Diaries. “You idiot.” Kai leaned closer to whisper, “I’m THE demon.” Witch King is an entirely unique journey that delves into friendship, betrayal, loyalties, and war. Now, Kai must search for the answers to many unanswered questions, including why he was imprisoned in the first place, and what things have changed since he has been gone. Kai must fight his way out and find his friends. When he wakes up from being assassinated a year prior by a lesser mage attempting to leash Kai as a familiar and use his magic for personal gain. Kaiisteron is a demon prince of the Fourth House in the Underearth. ![]()
